Data center BIM and Revit automation for Virginia projects
Tools, model checks and content for Autodesk® Revit® software, for contractors, engineers and owners building data centers in Northern Virginia, from Ashburn and Sterling to Manassas. We work with your team remotely.
Served remotely. SS Technologies is a remote company. We have no office in Virginia and we don't claim Virginia clients. The projects named on this page are public examples. We have no involvement in them.
The largest data center market, short of power and space.
Almost nothing is vacant, new grid connections take years, and buildings are delivered in phases as power arrives. For design and construction teams that means repeated buildings, many revisions and a lot of power equipment to track.
of wholesale colocation capacity operating in Northern Virginia, with 2,420 MW under construction and vacancy at 0.2%, according to CBRE figures for June 2026. Counting hyperscale self-build, Cushman & Wakefield puts the market at 12,338 MW.
of take-up, so the space under construction is roughly 2.6 years of supply. Grid connection waits of more than 3 years are reported, and Loudoun County has had data center zoning rules since 2024.
planned on one Ashburn campus, with 224 MW of critical IT load in total, when the operator broke ground on its sixth building there.
Power-limited sites are built and fitted out in phases. Each phase changes which halls, rows and power paths are live, and the model has to show the current state clearly.
Common problems for Virginia data center teams.
Campus copies
Same building, many times. Copy a prototype to each building with prefixed IDs (B2-DH1-A-01), then push changes to every copy and report what differs.
Power path checks by phase
Check every rack's A and B feeds against the one-line list for the phase that's live, for example a rack on RPP-1A-01 that should be on RPP-1B-01.
Sheets per hall and phase
Views, sheets, tags and schedules built from one sheet list, so each phase issue is consistent across halls and buildings.
Prefab skids and modules
Numbered assembly sheets and bills of materials for electrical rooms and cooling skids, generated from the model.
Revit families and template
Vendor-neutral racks, RPPs, CDUs and containment with shared parameters, built to order from $2,500.
Handover data
COBie and DCIM-ready asset lists checked before turnover, so operators get clean IDs.
Our tools apply rules and values that your engineer of record provides. Their outputs are drafting and data aids, not engineering calculations or sealed documents.

Asset IDs, A/B feed fields, warnings and file size, with an Excel issue list.
