Sheet set per data hall
Create every sheet for a hall from an Excel list, with the right numbers, names and title block.
Start with one fixed-price pilot script for Autodesk® Revit® software. Grow it into a company toolbar, with documentation your own staff can follow.
Estimated 1–2 weeks per pilot. A written acceptance test, agreed before we start, backed by our pilot guarantee.
A pilot is the low-risk way to find out whether automation, and we, are a good fit for your team.
If the pilot doesn't pass the written acceptance test on the agreed Revit version, we fix it at no charge. If it still doesn't pass within 10 business days of your test report, we refund the pilot fee in full. This doesn't cover changes to the scope, the test model or the Revit version after the scope is signed.
"On the client's test model in Revit 2026: the script creates every sheet for data hall DH1 listed in the Excel file, with the correct sheet numbers, names and title block; no duplicate sheet numbers; one Undo restores the model."
Dynamo is visual scripting inside Revit. It's a good fit when your team wants to see the logic and adjust it. We make graphs that are clean, documented and easy to run from Dynamo Player.
Dynamo 4.0 made PythonNet3 the default Python engine, replacing CPython3 (Dynamo release notes). Graphs written for the IronPython2 or CPython3 engines may need changes: Excel and COM interop, WPF, collections and enums behave differently (DynamoBIM).
We migrate graphs one by one, test each against the old results on sample models, and log what changed.
For batch work we use Design Automation for Revit, part of Autodesk Platform Services (APS). Since December 8, 2025, some APS APIs (the Automation API, the Model Derivative API and others) are metered, with a free monthly tier and paid use by Autodesk Flex tokens (minimum 100, valid one year) (APS). Autodesk bills usage to your account. We estimate usage before we build.
Dynamo Switchboard, which runs graphs in the cloud, is an early-access beta (DynamoBIM). We're happy to try it with you, but we don't recommend it for production work yet.
pyRevit is an open-source framework for building Revit tools in Python. It's a good fit for a toolbar of small, quick tools that your team clicks many times a day.
pyRevit is open source under GPL-3.0 (pyRevit). We keep your extensions in a separate repository and explain the licensing in the proposal. Open-source parts stay under their own licenses, listed in your handover.
These versions run on .NET 10. Before we commit to a pyRevit toolbar for them, we test the current pyRevit release (pyRevit releases) on your exact Revit version. If it isn't ready, we'll tell you and recommend a C# add-in instead.
Examples of tasks that fit a pilot, not past projects. The same kinds of pilots work on any building type.
Create every sheet for a hall from an Excel list, with the right numbers, names and title block.
Number racks to your scheme, such as DH1-A-03, row by row, and flag duplicates.
Write feed sources, such as the RPPs RPP-1A-01 and RPP-1B-01 from the one-line list, and flag racks with gaps for your engineer to review.
After a prototype is copied, add the building prefix to every ID, such as B2-DH1-A-01, and check for duplicate IDs between buildings.
Fill owner asset tags and equipment data from the equipment register, with a list of anything that didn't match.
Apply view templates, align tags and remove unused views across dozens of near-identical hall plans.
Our demo page runs the same rules these pilots apply: numbering racks to a scheme, checking A/B feeds against a one-line list, and building a sheet list for every data hall.
Browser demos with sample data, not client work. Recorded Revit demos will be added as they're published.
Each has a place. We'll recommend one on the scoping call, and sometimes the answer is a mix.

A small, fixed-price project that automates one task. We agree in writing what "done" means. For example: "creates all sheets for one data hall from the Excel list, with correct names and title block, and undoes cleanly." You test it on your own model. If it passes, you can scale it up.
If the pilot doesn't pass the written acceptance test on the agreed Revit version, we fix it at no charge. If it still doesn't pass within 10 business days of your test report, we refund the pilot fee in full. Some will, some won't. Dynamo 4.0 made PythonNet3 the default Python engine, replacing CPython3. Graphs written for the IronPython2 or CPython3 engines may need changes, especially where they use Excel or COM interop, WPF, collections or enums. We can review your library, list which graphs need work, and migrate them with tests.
It can help. Dynamo 4.2 added Autodesk Assistant, which can place and connect nodes, run graphs and explain them (DynamoBIM). A graph your team relies on every week still needs clean inputs, testing on real models and someone to maintain it. We can review and test AI-drafted graphs the same way we test our own.
pyRevit is open source under the GPL-3.0 license (pyRevit). We keep your extensions in a separate repository from pyRevit itself, explain the licensing in the proposal, and list every open-source part in your handover, so your legal team can review it before you sign.
Yes. We provide a deployment script and an update channel, so new tools reach every machine without reinstalling by hand. Your IT team approves the setup first.
When many people run it every day, when it's too slow on large models, when it needs a real form, or when it keeps breaking at upgrades. We can convert a working graph or pyRevit tool into a C# add-in. Custom add-ins.
No. A script like the A/B feed fill copies values from the list your engineer provides and flags gaps for review. Our tools apply rules and values that your engineer of record provides. Their outputs are drafting and data aids, not engineering calculations, code-compliance reviews or sealed documents. Your licensed professionals review the results and remain responsible for the design.
Revit 2024 through 2027, and 2023 on request, with the Dynamo version that ships with each. The scope names the exact versions, and the acceptance test runs on them.
Work made only for you (your add-ins, scripts, content built to your standard, documentation) is assigned to you in writing once paid in full. Our reusable components come with a permanent, firm-wide, royalty-free license to use and change them on any project; we keep ownership so we can keep improving them. Open-source parts (for example pyRevit, GPL-3.0) stay under their own licenses, listed in your handover.
Tell us about it on a free 30-minute call. Within 2 business days of the call you get a written scope with an acceptance test and a fixed price for the pilot.
