We recommend starting with a health check or a pilot. Both have a fixed price and clear deliverables, so you can judge our work before you commit to more.
Order a model health check. You get a fix list in priority order and a walkthrough.
Start a pilot. One task, one fixed price, tested on your model against a written acceptance test.
Scope a custom add-in. You get a fixed price for the first phase and an estimate range for the full build.
Take a retainer. A monthly hours bank, health checks and help with yearly Revit upgrades.
These are our estimates, written to help you budget. They are not quotes and not past projects. Your written scope sets the actual price.
| Example scenario | Likely offer | Our estimate (USD) |
|---|---|---|
| Check one model against the owner's BIM standard before a deliverable | Model health check | $500 |
| Create all views and sheets for each data hall from an Excel list | Pilot | $750–$1,500 |
Rack layout and ID tool with Excel input, one Revit version (IDs such as DH1-A-03) | Custom add-in | about $4,000–$7,000 |
| Keep A and B power path data in sync between the one-line diagram and the Revit model, three Revit versions, with an installer | Custom add-in | about $8,000–$15,000 |
| Owner-standard content for white space and gray space | Data center kit, Standard | $4,000 |
| Monthly checks on 2 models, plus small fixes and requests on the tools you have | Retainer, Standard | $3,000/month |
On the scoping call we ask about each of these. If one of them can be dropped or saved for later, we tell you, so the first phase stays small.
Each version needs its own build and its own test run. Revit 2024, 2025–2026 and 2027 run on different .NET versions, so one tool for three versions costs more than one tool for one.
A single button that runs with fixed settings is quick to build. A window with options, previews and saved settings takes longer to build and test.
Reading an Excel file is simple. Connecting to SQL, a DCIM system or cloud data through APS adds work, accounts and testing.
Each command is its own piece of work with its own acceptance test. Three related buttons cost more than one.
Every delivery includes a short guide and a video. Live training sessions, admin guides or content written to your template add time.
If you need it sooner than our estimated time, we say whether we can do it and what it changes before you sign.
For firms with several in-house tools to keep current, or a steady list of small requests. Month to month, billed monthly in advance.

| Unused hours | Roll over one month | Roll over one month | Roll over one month |
The health checks included in your tier are separate from the hours bank. They don't use any of your hours.
Fixes and changes to tools we built, small new tools, Dynamo graph cleanup, standards and template updates, and questions from your team.
Month to month, with 30 days' notice. You keep the source code of the work we made for you, so nothing stops working.
Enter one task your team repeats. The math runs in your browser and nothing is sent anywhere. We don't publish savings claims; this is your estimate, and a pilot on your own model is how you test it.
The starting values are example inputs, not results. Change any of them.
Don't know your loaded hourly cost? Enter an annual salary for a rough figure.
Salary ÷ 2,080 × 1.3 = rough loaded hourly cost.
Weekly saving = hours per week × people × share automated × hourly cost
Yearly saving = weekly saving × 48 working weeks
Payback = tool price ÷ weekly saving, in working weeks
5 hours a week, 1 person, 60% automated is 3 hours a week saved. 3 hours a week saved at $60/hour is $180 a week, so a $1,500 pilot pays back in about 8–9 weeks.
Salary ÷ 2,080 working hours × 1.3 for overhead is a rough loaded hourly cost. US BIM manager average total pay is about $98k (Glassdoor, 2026), or roughly $60/hour on that formula. Your own payroll numbers are better.
Leave out savings you can't count, such as fewer errors. That keeps your estimate on the safe side.
These go into your written scope. They are the same for every client.
The price in your scope is the price. If you ask for something new, we quote it as a change before doing it. Nothing is billed without your OK.
If the pilot doesn't pass the written acceptance test on the agreed Revit version, we fix it at no charge. If it still doesn't pass within 10 business days of your test report, we refund the pilot fee in full. This doesn't cover changes to the scope, the test model or the Revit version after the scope is signed.
For 30 days after acceptance, we fix bugs at no charge. A bug is anything where the tool doesn't do what the scope says on the agreed Revit versions.
On request we send a vendor onboarding pack: the tax form for our entity, banking details, and a certificate of insurance where required. If your procurement process needs a different payment schedule, raise it on the scoping call, before the scope is signed.
Since December 8, 2025, some Autodesk Platform Services APIs (the Automation API, the Model Derivative API and others) are metered. There's a free monthly tier. Paid use runs on Autodesk Flex tokens, bought in a minimum of 100 and valid for one year (APS). AEC Data Model API "Data Out" pricing started October 6, 2026 (APS blog). Autodesk bills usage to your account, not ours. We estimate usage before we build.
Yes. The price in your scope is the price. If you ask for something new, we quote it as a change before doing it. Nothing is billed without your OK.
Within 2 business days of the call you get a written scope with a fixed price for a pilot or first phase, and an estimate range for anything bigger. Once the first phase is done, we both know enough to fix the price of the next one.
No. Your firm needs its own Revit licenses (full Revit or the AEC Collection), Navisworks Manage for clash work and Power BI licenses for dashboard viewers. Any APS usage is billed by Autodesk to your account. We estimate usage before we build.
Fixes and changes can run through a retainer or be quoted as a small fixed-price job. You hold the full source code, so any developer you choose can maintain the tool too.
SS Technologies started in October 2026, and we won't publish numbers we haven't measured. Use the payback calculator with your own figures, then test a fixed-price pilot on your own model.
Yes. A model health check is $500 per model and shows what is slowing your team down. The scoping call is free either way.
